Custom floral carved purses.

Here are four purses I just finished for some Jake's wife and three daughters.  They are about 10" tall and 12" across the base and will fit right under the arm for a comfortable fit.

16" Smooth out Steve Mason "Swade" with a double lined border.

Here's a saddle I finished back in July.  It's on a tree made by Bill Bean.  It's a Swade tree, which was originally designed by Steve Mason.  It has a 3" x 3.25" horn on a 16" seat with a 4" cantle.  It's very light weight with small round mother hubbard skirts.  It's all smooth out with a two lined border.  It will make for a good using saddle.  I also wanted to thank Bart for his business.

16" Rough out wade on Keith Gertsch tree.

Here's a saddle I made for Mikey Johnson.  It's a light weight saddle with small round skirts and straight up cantle.  A perfect work saddle.  It's got a 15/16 flat plate rigging built with extra heavy Herman Oak leather; built to last.

3/4 Floral carved TM roper youth saddle

Here's the saddle I just finished for Jana.  It's a youth sized saddle with a 12.5" finished seat.  It's 3/4 floral carved with a rough out seat.  The stirrup fenders will fit an inseam from 24" to 32".  It's a TM roper tree with a number 4 horn built by Bill Bean.  The saddle is very light with the Mother Hubbard skirts and inskirt rigging.   It also has 2.5" visalia stirrups made by Trina Weber.

16" Rough out Mother Hubbard on TM roper tree

Here's a saddle I made for Bill Wood.  It's on a TM roper tree with a 3" post horn with no pitch in the horn.  This saddle also has what is called a mother hubbard skirt with an inskirt rigging.  The mother hubbard has no back jockey.  The back jockey is technically sewed right into the skirt making the saddle light weight.  I also made a pair of saddle bags to match the saddle.  The saddle bags have a built in pistol scabbard for a 22-250 Thompson Centerfire pistol with a 10" barrel.

Purse for the wife

I had a couple of free days before I started calving so I was goofing around in the saddle shop and made this purse for my wife.  It does need another coat of oil though.  After finishing it, my wife and I decided there are a few things I can definitely do to improve it.

16.5" Wade w/ inskirt rigging and exposed stirrup leathers

Here's my latest saddle I just finished.  Unfortunately every saddle I've posted has been roughout, but you've got to do what they order.  I do have some saddles coming up that will have some carving on them, so you'll have to check those out when I get them done.  This saddle is a little different than the rest with an inskirt rigging and stirrup leathers on the outside of the fenders.  This saddle has a 16.5" seat, 4.25" horn, 4.5" cantle, with the rigging placed just slightly ahead of 7/8.
